Hay Production

Production

Our hay is produced from our farm in May and September each year.

Benefits

Horses are hindgut fermenters, meaning they rely on a steady supply of roughage to keep their gut moving and prevent issues like colic or ulcers.

  • First cut hay is coarser and encourages more chewing and saliva to buffer stomach acid.

  • Second cut hay is ideal for horses who need more protein or have trouble putting on weight
